THE LEGACY of Karnak
Rainforest Sanctuary
Karnak carries a legacy unlike any other place in Far North Queensland. Created by Diane Cilento, the property was envisioned as a sanctuary where art, nature, and community could meet in the heart of the Daintree Rainforest. Her work shaped Karnak into a cultural landmark — a place of imagination, performance, and deep connection to the land.
Today, that legacy continues. As the new stewards of Karnak, we honour Diane’s vision by caring for the rainforest, restoring the grounds, and keeping the spirit of creativity alive. Our role is not to reinvent Karnak, but to protect what it has always been: a place where people feel welcome, inspired, and connected to something larger than themselves.
Karnak’s story didn’t end — it simply entered a new chapter.
